Analysis of the extranucleolar ribonucleoprotein particles of Cycas revoluta Thunb. (Cycadaceae) and Ceratozamia mexicana Brongn. (Zamiaceae)

open access: yesBotan‪ical Sciences, 2022
Background: Nuclear ribonucleoprotein particles play a key role in RNA processing and in the gene expression pathway. Interchromatin granules (GICs) involved in the metabolism of pre-messenger RNA (pre-mRNA) were described in Allium cepa and ...

Integrative phylogenomics and morphology reveal the evolution and biogeography of Encephalartos (Zamiaceae)

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, Volume 64, Issue 2, Page 295-312, March 2026.
We aimed to conduct phylogenetic analyses of Encephalartos, a cycad genus endemic to Africa, using 3545 single‐copy nuclear genes extracted from transcriptome data, covering 64/65 of the recognized species, along with inference of divergence times using two secondary calibration points.

Population Differentiation and Demographic History of the Cycas taiwaniana Complex (Cycadaceae) Endemic to South China as Indicated by DNA Sequences and Microsatellite Markers

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Historical geology, climatic oscillations, and seed dispersal capabilities are thought to influence the population dynamics and genetics of plants, especially for distribution-restricted and threatened species.

Endemic plant relict [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Endemi su organizmi koji žive na određenom ograničenom geografskom području i nigdje drugdje na svijetu. Prema starosti razlikujemo reliktne endeme (paleoendeme) i neoendeme.

HMGB3 promotes brain metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma by recruiting SSBP1 for nuclear translocation to remodel mitochondrial metabolism

open access: yesCancer Communications, Volume 45, Issue 12, Page 1676-1705, December 2025.
Abstract Background Brain metastasis, a leading cause of death in patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), arises from tumor cells adapting to the unique microenvironment of the brain through metabolic remodeling regulated by key oncogenes. Here, we aimed to determine the role of high mobility group protein box 3 (HMGB3) in regulating tumor cell ...
