Decomposing complete equipartite graphs into short odd cycles [PDF]
In this paper we examine the problem of decomposing the lexicographic product of a cycle with an empty graph into cycles of uniform length. We determine necessary and sufficient conditions for a solution to this problem when the cycles are of odd length.

Equilibrium Political Budget Cycles
Prior to elections, governments (at all levels) frequently undertake a consumption binge. Taxes are cut, transfers are raised, and government spending is distorted towards highly visible items. The "political business cycle" (better be thought of as "the

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

International Real Business Cycles
We ask whether a two-country real business cycle model can account simultaneously for domestic and international aspects of business cycles. With this question in mind, we document a number of discrepancies between theory and data.

Induced Subgraph Saturated Graphs
A graph $G$ is said to be \emph{$H$-saturated} if $G$ contains no subgraph isomorphic to $H$ but the addition of any edge between non-adjacent vertices in $G$ creates one.

The Chromosome Cycle and the Centrosome Cycle in the Mitotic Cycle
“Possible, but not interesting,” Lonnrot answered. “You'll reply that reality hasn't the least obligation to be interesting. And I'll answer you that reality may avoid that obligation but that hypotheses may not.” Jorge Luis Borges, “Death and the Compass”

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Shortened universal cycles for permutations
Kitaev, Potapov, and Vajnovszki [On shortening u-cycles and u-words for permutations, Discrete Appl. Math, 2019] described how to shorten universal words for permutations, to length $n!+n-1-i(n-1)$ for any $i \in [(n-2)!]$, by introducing incomparable ...
