Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Skew cyclic codes over $\mathbb{F}_{q}+v\mathbb{F}_{q}+v^{2}\mathbb{F}_{q}$

open access: yes, 2015
In this article, we study skew cyclic codes over ring $R=\mathbb{F}_{q}+v\mathbb{F}_{q}+v^{2}\mathbb{F}_{q}$, where $q=p^{m}$, $p$ is an odd prime and $v^{3}=v$.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Linear Skew Cyclic Codes over 𝔽qS

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica
In this study, we focus on skew cyclic codes over the family of rings 𝔽q S where q is a power of a prime number and S = 𝔽q + v𝔽q with v2 = v. Structural properties of these codes are studied in detail. Obtained results lead us to characterize 𝔽q S-linear

The Weight Distributions of Cyclic Codes and Elliptic Curves

open access: yes, 2011
Cyclic codes with two zeros and their dual codes as a practically and theoretically interesting class of linear codes, have been studied for many years. However, the weight distributions of cyclic codes are difficult to determine.

"Catching Errors in Cyclic Codes" "Detection of Errors in Cyclic Codes" « Error - Trapping in Cyclic Codes »

open access: yes, 2022
Coding theory (English: coding theory) is a branch of mathematics (mathematics) and computer science (computer science) that deals with error-prone situations in the process of transmitting data over communication channels. noise channels), using sophisticated methods that make the majority of errors that occur can be corrected.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Applied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes from doubly-extended RS code and cyclic MDS code

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
Based on doubly-extended RS codes and cyclic MDS codes, two construction schemes were proposed for ap-plied quasi-cyclic LDPC codes whose Tanner graph is free of 4-cycles.In the first approach, all the nonzero codewords within a doubly-extended RS code ...

Weights of cyclic codes

open access: yesInformation and Control, 1977
Using results on linear recurring sequences the author gives an inequality for the weight of the nonzero codewords of cyclic codes. In the case of cyclic codes with parity-check polynomial without multiple roots a refined inequality is proved. For certain binary cyclic codes the exact weight distribution can be determined.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
