On duality and extended chiral symmetry in the SL(2,R) WZW model

open access: yes, 2011
Two chiral aspects of the SL(2,R) WZW model in an operator formalism are investigated. First, the meaning of duality, or conjugation, of primary fields is clarified.

CYCLIC CONJUGATION IN PYRACYLENE

open access: yesPolycyclic Aromatic Compounds, 2008
Cyclic conjugation of the π-electrons in pyracylene is studied by means of the energy-effects (ef) of its various cycles. The calculated ef-values imply that cyclic conjugation significantly destabilizes the pyracylene molecule. This seems to contradict the experimental findings that pyracylene is a reasonably stable conjugated species.

Chameleon-like behaviour of cyclo[n]paraphenylenes in complexes with C70: on their impressive electronic and structural adaptability as probed by Raman spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Este artículo ha sido publicado por Royal Society of ChemistryA series of four 1:1 host-guest supramolecular complexes of [n]CPPs and C70 have been analyzed by Raman spectroscopy in solid state and complemented with the analysis of their spectroscopic ...

Effect of benzocyclobutadieno-annelation on cyclic conjugation in fluoranthene congeners [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2011
Earlier studies revealed that benzo-annelation has a peculiar effect on the intensity of cyclic conjugation in the five-membered ring of fluoranthene congeners.

Study of the Electrochemical Behavior of Merocyanine and Merocarbocyanine Salts and Their Transformation into Π-Electron Donor Molecules, Namely Tetrathiatetraazafulvalenes

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2021
An electrochemical study using the cyclic voltammetry method was carried out on some previously prepared merocyanines salts, namely thiazolideniumsulfonate salts 5a-b, and thiazolidenium chloride salts 6a-b, and merocarbocyanines salts, namely ...

Finite groups acting on 3-manifolds and cyclic branched coverings of knots

open access: yes, 2008
We are interested in finite groups acting orientation-preservingly on 3-manifolds (arbitrary actions, ie not necessarily free actions). In particular we consider finite groups which contain an involution with nonempty connected fixed point set.

[n]cycloparaphenylenes with charges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Oligophenylenes (polyphenylenes) are constituted by an array of conjugated benzenes where inter-ring electron delocalization tends to extend over the whole chain (linear conjugation) being intrinsically limited, among other factors, by terminal effects ...

On the automorphisms of a graph product of abelian groups

open access: yes, 2007
We study the automorphisms of a graph product of finitely-generated abelian groups W. More precisely, we study a natural subgroup Aut* W of Aut W, with Aut* W = Aut W whenever vertex groups are finite and in a number of other cases.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
