Linear Convolution Using Skew-Cyclic Convolutions
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2007It is shown that the linear convolution required in block filtering can be decomposed into a sum of skew-cyclic convolutions. Such convolutions can be realized efficiently with half-length complex transforms when the signals are real. This method results in computational savings over the traditional overlap-add and overlap-save algorithms.

A general analysis of cyclic block transmultiplexers with cyclic convolution
2015 IEEE 16th International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), 2015In this paper we investigate the class of cyclic block transmultiplexers (TMUXs). The perfect reconstruction (PR) conditions of their prototype function are derived both in time and frequency domain. A duality theorem is provided showing the connection between each PR solution in the frequency domain with its dual in time domain.

Improving accuracy in FFT-based cyclic convolution
2013 IEEE 56th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2013When speed considerations are critical, FFT-based implementations of cyclic convolution need to be considered. Unfortunately, such FFT-based implementations of purely integer cyclic convolution can be affected by floating point round-off errors potentially leading to an incorrect integer result.

Cyclic Convolutional Codes over Separable Extensions
2015We show that, under mild conditions of separability, an ideal code, as defined in Lopez-Permouth and Szabo (J Pure Appl Algebra 217(5):958–972, 2013), is a direct summand of an Ore extension and, consequently, it is generated by an idempotent element. We also design an algorithm for computing one of these idempotents.
