Low-cycle fatigue behaviour of ribbed 1.4362 duplex stainless steel reinforcement
To investigate the fatigue behaviour of stainless steel (SS) reinforcement, monotonic tensile and cyclic fatigue loading tests on 1.4362 duplex SS bars with diameters of 12 mm, 16 mm, and 20 mm are conducted.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

The isothermal fatigue behavior of a unidirectional SiC/Ti composite and the Ti alloy matrix [PDF]
The high temperature fatigue behavior of a metal matrix composite (MMC) consisting of Ti-15V-3Cr-3Al-3Sn (Ti-15-3) matrix reinforced by 33 vol percent of continuous unidirectional SiC fibers was experimentally and analytically evaluated.

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Cyclic loading and fatigue of wood
It is believed that energy can be saved by introducing fatigue-structural changes into wood using cyclic compression. Despite the common faith only one concept has been reported to save some 30% of energy [2] the reason for the saving still remaining unknown. Emphasis of the disquisition is on large i.e.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion
