CYCLICALLY PRESENTED GROUPS AND RESULTANTS
International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2010We consider the family of irreducible cyclically presented groups on n generators whose generating word (in the standard rewrite) has length at most 15. Using the software packages KBMAG, quotpic and MAGMA, together with group and number theoretic methods, we show that if 6 ≤ n ≤ 100 then the group is non-trivial.

Groups with Cyclic Outer Automizers
Algebra Colloquium, 2014We consider groups G such that NG(H)/HCG(H) is cyclic for all H ≤ G. More specifically, we characterise locally nilpotent and supersoluble groups with this property.

ON A CLASS OF CYCLICALLY PRESENTED GROUPS
International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2004This paper considers the problem for what n and ω is the cyclically presented group Gn(ω) irreducible and trivial and studies the case when [Formula: see text] and n≥5.

Groups with a Cyclic Group as Lattice-Homomorph
The Annals of Mathematics, 1948Nach einleitenden Sätzen über die homomorphe Abbildung von Untergruppen wird der Satz bewiesen: Es seien \(L(G)\) und \(L(H)\) die Verbände der Untergruppen zweier Gruppen \(G\) and \(H\). \(G\) sei endlich, \(H\) zyklisch von der Ordnung \(\prod_{i=1}^m p_i^{a_i}\). Es sei \(f\) ein Homomorphismus von \(L(G)\) auf \(L(H)\).
