In vivo redox poising of the cyclic electron transport system of Rhodobacter capsulatus and the effects of the auxiliary oxidants, nitrate, nitrous oxide and trimethylamine N-oxide, as revealed by multiple short flash excitation

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1990
Intact cells of Rhodobacter capsulatus in the presence of myxothiazol were exposed to trains of short flashes of saturating light and the pattern of the absorbance changes due to P870, cytochrome (c + c) and the carotenoids that report on the membrane potential were monitored.

Enantioselective Addition of Cyclic Enol Silyl Ethers to 2‐Alkenoyl‐Pyridine‐N‐Oxides Catalysed by CuII–Bis(oxazoline) Complexes

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2012
AbstractAsymmetric reactions involving (E)‐3‐aryl‐1‐(pyridin‐2‐yl‐N‐oxide)prop‐2‐en‐1‐ones and cyclic enol silyl ethers show good yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99.9 % ee) when catalysed by bis(oxazoline)–CuII complexes. Different reaction pathways can be followed by different enol silyl ethers: with 2‐(trimethylsilyloxy)furan, a ...

Cyclic Nitrone Free Radical Traps:  Isolation, Identification, and Synthesis of 3,3-Dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-4-ol N-Oxide, a Metabolite with Reduced Side Effects

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1996
A C-4 hydroxylated metabolite (2, 3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-4-ol N-oxide) of the previously described cyclic nitrone free radical trap 1 (3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline N-oxide, a cyclic analog of phenyl-tert-butylnitrone (PBN)) was isolated, identified, and synthesized.

Cyclic Conversion of the Novel Src Kinase Inhibitor [7-(2,6-Dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-benzo[1,2,4]triazin-3-yl]-[4-(2-pyrrolidin-1-yl-ethoxy)-phenyl]-amine (TG100435) and Its N-Oxide Metabolite by Flavin-Containing Monoxygenases and Cytochrome P450 Reductase

Drug Metabolism and Disposition, 2007
[7-(2,6-Dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-benzo[1,2,4]triazin-3-yl]-[4-(2-pyrrolidin-1-yl-ethoxy)-phenyl]-amine (TG100435) is a novel multi-targeted Src family kinase inhibitor with demonstrated anticancer activity in preclinical species. Potent kinase inhibition is associated with TG100435 and its major N-oxide metabolite [7-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-5-methyl ...
