Construction of regular quasi-cyclic protograph LDPC codes based on Vandermonde matrices

open access: yes, 2008
In this contribution, we investigate the attainable performance of quasi-cyclic (QC) protograph Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes for transmission over both Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and uncorrelated Rayleigh channels.

Bending Behaviour of CHS X-Joints with Curved Chords

open access: yesBuildings
This paper explores the static and cyclic behaviours exhibited by X-joints fabricated from circular hollow sections (CHS) incorporating curved chords under bending loading.

Fatigue‐resistant Fe‐Mn‐Si‐based alloy seismic dampers to counteract long‐period ground motion

open access: yesJapan Architectural Review, 2021
In recent years, resonance in high‐rise buildings due to long‐period ground motion, which induces large‐amplitude cyclic deformation of seismic dampers, has become a matter of significant concern.

The Eurozone’s influence on the cyclical macroeconomic performance: comparative analysis of Slovenia and Croatia

open access: yesEconomic research - Ekonomska istraživanja, 2023
This paper analyses the impact of cyclical external shocks on the macroeconomic performance of Eurozone and EU member countries. The latter is achieved through a comparative study of two EU countries, Slovenia and Croatia, of which only the former is a Eurozone member state.

Analysis of cyclic delay diversity on DVB-H systems over spatially correlated channel

open access: yes, 2007
The objective of this work is to research and analyze the performance of Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD) with two transmit antenna on DVB-H systems operating in spatially correlated channel. It is shown in this paper that CDD can achieve desirable transmit

The Dynamics of Cyclical Convergence and Decoupling in the Environmental Performance of Spanish Regions [PDF]

open access: yesSustainability, 2020
Spain is aiming at moving towards a low-carbon economy. The success of this task will depend on the capacities of Spanish regions to follow the national energy and climate strategy and decarbonize their economies. In this paper, we analyze the CO2 fluctuations and links with economic activity, throughout the period 1990 to 2018, using dynamic factor ...

Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Quasi-cyclic Generalized LDPC codes with low error floors

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, a novel methodology for designing structured generalized LDPC (G-LDPC) codes is presented. The proposed design results in quasi-cyclic G-LDPC codes for which efficient encoding is feasible through shift-register-based circuits.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...
