Minimum Blockers of 123-Avoiding Permutation Matrices [PDF]
A blocker of n × n permutation matrices is a set of positions in an n × n matrix that intersects each n × n permutation matrix at least once. A blocker is minimum if removing any position makes it no longer a blocker.

Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Computing in permutation and matrix groups III: Sylow subgroups [PDF]
The ability of construct the Sylow subgroups of a large finite permutation or matrix group is fundamentalto a number of important algorithms for analyzing the abstract structure of such a group.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Comparative Research on Mode Permutation Strategies in Mode-division Multiplexing Systems
【Objective】Mode-division multiplexing is a key technology to break through the capacity limit of single-mode fiber systems. In the few-mode fiber links, the pulse broadening caused by intermodal dispersion increases the complexity of multiple-input ...

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

On Volumes of Permutation Polytopes [PDF]
This paper focuses on determining the volumes of permutation polytopes associated to cyclic groups, dihedral groups, groups of automorphisms of tree graphs, and Frobenius groups.

A cyclically permutable code is a set of codewords having the property that no codeword is a cyclic shift of another codeword. We study the problem of constructing cyclically permutable codes of large size and low correlation. Cyclically permutable codes are used in code-division multiple-access systems realized by e.g.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...
