Cyclic plasticity, creep, and TMF
2005Abstract In Chapter 9, we examined creep in the aero-engine combustor material nickel-base superalloy C263. In this chapter, we address combined anisothermal cyclic plasticity and creep. We use time-independent cyclic plasticity with both isotropic and kinematic hardening which we combine with the physically based creep model described ...

A Phenomenological Model for Cyclic Plasticity
Journal of Engineering Materials and Technology, 1997A phenomenological model is proposed for cyclic plasticity based on the concept of distributed elements, which is capable of reflecting microstructural behavior of real materials under multiaxial cyclic loading conditions. By investigating the detailed behavior of the model, various important phenomena and effects of materials in cyclic plasticity can ...

Simplified theories of cyclic plasticity
Acta Mechanica, 1975Simple theories of plasticity such as flow rules associated with a single yield surface are sufficiently accurate in predicting plastic behaviour for monotonic loading. However, for alternating or cyclic loads, such theories cannot describe complex plastic behaviour with sufficient accuracy.

Implementation of MAKOC cyclic plasticity model with memory
Advances in Engineering Software, 2017Abstract This paper deals with the description of implementation of the advanced cyclic plasticity model called MAKOC, which is based on the AbdelKarim–Ohno kinematic hardening rule, the isotropic hardening rule of Calloch and a memory surface introduced in a stress space in accordance with the Jiang-Sehitoglu concept.

Limit Response in Cyclic Plasticity
1991The objective of this communication is to present a numerical investigation on the computation of the cyclic response of elastic-plastic structures under cyclic loading. First, we investigate a cyclic approach method based upon a direct research of cyclic solutions by iterative procedure ensuring the periodic response at the local scale and at every ...

Cyclic Plasticity and Cyclic Creep in Austenitic-Ferritic Duplex Steel
Key Engineering Materials, 2011Smooth specimens made from austenitic-ferritic duplex steel were subjected to constant stress amplitude loading with positive mean stresses. Hysteresis loops were recorded during the fatigue life and plastic strain amplitude and cyclic creep rate were determined.

Effects of plastic strain amplitudes on non-proportional cyclic plasticity
Acta Mechanica, 1985A series of plastic strain controlled cyclic tests was performed to facilitate the modelling of cyclic plasticity under general multiaxial loading conditions. The tests were carried out by applying combined axial force and torque to thin-walled tubular specimens of type 316 stainless steel at room temperature.

Plasticity with cyclic hot working
Strength of Materials, 1994A tensor model of damage accumulation is suggested in order to determine limiting strains. Clear criterial dependences are established as applied to symmetric, asymmetric, and block deformation regimes. The relationships obtained are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, and they are compared with experimental data.

Dislocation dynamics in cyclic plastic deformation I. Monotonic hardening
Applied Physics A: Materials Science & Processing, 1995The paper presents a model of the dislocation dynamics in single-glide-orientated face-centered cubic or hexagonal close-packed monocrystals during cyclic plastic deformation. For the densities of both mobile dislocations and immobile dislocation dipoles, equations of evolution are derived.
