A multimapping \(T: X\to 2^ y\) is said to be a locally step operator if each \(x\in X\) has a neighborhood U such that \(\{Ty\}_{y\in U}\) is a finite family of sets, that is, if locally T takes a finite number of set values.

At pH > 6 the rate-determining step involves H+-catalyzed formation of the oxocarbocation, this reaction occurring with cleavage of the exocyclic alkoxy group to produce a cyclic cation. CYCLIC AND STEP‐UP ADMINISTRATION OF ETHYNODIOL DIACETATE AS AN ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE
Medical Journal of Australia, 1970A study involving cyclic and step-up administration of ethynodiol diacetate as an oral contraceptive was presented. The step-up group received 23 tablets of .1 mg mestranol plus ethynodiol diacetate. The sequential formulation consisted of 16 tablets of .1 mg mestranol alone and 7 tablets of .1 mg mestranol plus .5 mg ethynodiol diacetate.
