Iron redox pathway revealed in ferritin via electron transfer analysis. [PDF]
Ferritin protein is involved in biological tissues in the storage and management of iron - an essential micro-nutrient in the majority of living systems. While there are extensive studies on iron-loaded ferritin, its functionality in iron delivery is not

Open boundary Quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation and the weighted enumeration of Plane Partitions with symmetries [PDF]
We propose new conjectures relating sum rules for the polynomial solution of the qKZ equation with open (reflecting) boundaries as a function of the quantum parameter $q$ and the $\tau$-enumeration of Plane Partitions with specific symmetries, with $\tau=

ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

A Novel Cyclic Time to Digital Converter Based on Triple-Slope Interpolation and Time Amplification [PDF]
This paper investigates a novel cyclic time-to-digital converter (TDC) which employs triple-slope analog interpolation and time amplification techniques for digitizing the time interval between the rising edges of two input signals(Start and Stop).

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

A combined "electrochemical-frustrated Lewis pair" approach to hydrogen activation: surface catalytic effects at platinum electrodes [PDF]
Herein, we extend our “combined electrochemical–frustrated Lewis pair” approach to include Pt electrode surfaces for the first time. We found that the voltammetric response of an electrochemical–frustrated Lewis pair (FLP) system involving the B(C6F5)3 ...

Gravelly cyclic steps formed by turbidity currents have recently been widely recognised in the geological record. However, the comparison between modern and ancient gravelly cyclic steps remains challenging.

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

First steps towards a cyclical theory for LDCs [PDF]
The development of the Third World countries which are producers of raw materials and agricultural products has become a cardinal problem of economic science and policy. Concentration on the question what is the best development strategy to obtain maximum growth of the national product has led to neglect of the complex of problems covered by the theory
