Efficacy and safety of cyclic pyranopterin monophosphate substitution in severe molybdenum cofactor deficiency type A: a prospective cohort study [PDF]

open access: yesLancet, The, 2015
Background Molybdenum cofactor deficiency (MoCD) is characterised by early, rapidly progressive postnatal encephalopathy and intractable seizures, leading to severe disability and early death. Previous treatment attempts have been unsuccessful.

Cyclic phosphines and arsines. IV. Perfluoroalkyl-substituted cyclic phosphines

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1972
Diiodopentafluoroethylphosphine and iodobispentafluoroethylphosphine have been prepared. Reaction of these compounds with silver chloride and silver cyanide leads to replacement of the iodide to give chloro and cyano phosphines. Reaction of RPI2 (R = CBF5, C3F7) with mercury gives the cyclic phosphine (PR)4,5.

Improved cyclic stability of LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 via Ti substitution with a cut-off potential of 4.5V [PDF]

open access: yesCeramics International, 2015
To improve the cyclic stability of LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 cycled between 2.8 and 4.5 V vs. Li/Li+, titanium was incorporated into LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 at various molar concentrations of 1, 2, 3 and 5% during the synthesis.

Tip-substituted cage and cyclic silanols

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2003
Abstract Synthesis of novel cage and cyclic silanols bearing Tip (2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl) groups was performed. Tip-substituted silanetriol, TipSi(OH)3 (1) was prepared from TipSiCl3, and can be handled without special care in the air. The versatility of this silanol is amply demonstrated as a starting material of various silanols with novel ...

Explicit cyclic substitutions

1993
In this paper we consider rewrite systems that describe the λ-calculus enriched with recursive and non-recursive local definitions by generalizing the lsexplicit substitutions’ used by Abadi, Cardelli, Curien, and Levy [1] to describe sharing in λ-terms.

Conversion of Lactones into Substituted Cyclic Ethers

Chemistry Letters, 1989
Abstract Lactone enolates were treated with N-phenyl triflimide in the presence of hexamethylphosphoric triamide to afford smoothly the corresponding enol triflates, which, on reaction with lithium dialkylcuprates, gave rise to alkylated cyclic ethers in good yields.

Nonsymmetrically Substituted Cyclic Urea HIV Protease Inhibitors

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1997
A series of nonsymmetrically substituted cyclic ureacarboxamides was synthesized and evaluated for antiviral activity as a function of the inhibition of HIV-protease. Selected protease inhibitors were also evaluated for oral bioavailability. The synthesis, pharmacology, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR), and pharmacokinetics for the ...

Substituted cyclic imides as potential anti-gout agents

Life Sciences, 1990
N-substituted cyclic imides of phthalimide, 2,3-dihydrohalazine-1,4-dione, and diphenimide were shown to reduce the serum uric acid levels in normal and hyperuric mice at 20 mg/kg/day I.P. for 14 days. The agents were potent inhibitors of commercial xanthine dehydrogenase and xanthine oxidase enzyme activities with IC50 values from 10(-7) to 10(-8) M ...
