A microelectrochemical analytical tool is proposed for the accelerated evaluation of the intrinsic electrochemical performance of Prussian‐blue analogues as solid active materials in Na+‐based batteries. By confining the solid active material inside a recessed microelectrode, accelerated voltammetric and galvanostatic cycling at high C‐rate become ...

The cyclic voltammetric response of electrochemically heterogeneous surfaces
The cyclic voltammetric response of an electrode composed of two different electrode materials is modelled using finite difference simulations. The system can be thought of as an array of microelectrodes of one material dispersed over a different electrode material.

MXenes as a Versatile Platform for High‐Energy‐Density Asymmetric Supercapacitors
MXenes with high conductivity and tunable surface chemistry are reviewed as advanced electrodes for asymmetric supercapacitors. MAX‐phase synthesis, surface and interlayer engineering, defect modulation, and composite designs are discussed, highlighting enhanced ion transport, pseudocapacitance, energy density, cycling stability, and sustainable routes

A library of 21 tetrakis(phenothiazinyl)‐substituted silanes with broadly variable substituent decoration, which are fully reversible multistage redox systems with intense tunable emission from deep blue to yellow–green (441–533 nm), was rapidly synthesized by bromine–lithium exchange/borylation–Suzuki coupling of tetrakis(4‐bromophenyl)silane or by ...

Tribochemical Surface Modification of Silicon
Mechanical scribing activates silicon surfaces by generating reactive sites that spontaneously graft alcohol‐, thiol‐, and alkyne‐terminated molecules under ambient conditions. Within 10 s, high‐coverage, electroactive organic layers form without light, heat, or applied voltage, offering a rapid tribochemical route to functional silicon interfaces for ...

Dioxygen Reduction at a Cu(I) Complex Supported by a Macrocyclic N3O Ligand System
A non‐reactive [CuI(14‐TMC)]+ complex is transformed to an efficient catalyst [CuI(14‐TMCO)]+ (TMCO = 4,8,12‐trimethyl‐1‐oxa‐4,8,12‐triazacyclotetradecane) for 4e−/4H+ reduction of O2 by N → O substitution. ABSTRACT CuI(14 TMCO) (1), involving a N3O‐macrocycle, reacts with O2 at cryogenic temperatures to yield an end‐on peroxodicopper(II) species.

Precision Switching and Coupled Motion in a [3]Rotaxane Molecular Machine
A [3]rotaxane, composed by two crown ether macrocycles and an axle presenting three recognition sites, is operated through both chemical and electrochemical stimuli. The position of the macrocycles is precisely controlled by sequential stimulation and the processes are fully reversible. The characterization of the system revealed the macrocycles affect

The Behavior of Ciprofloxacin at a DNA Modified Glassy Carbon Electrodes
The voltammetric behavior of ciprofloxacin was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and differential-pulse anodic stripping voltammetry at bare glassy carbon (GC) electrodes and DNA- modified glassy carbon (DNA-GC) electrodes.
