New Cyanide-Free Ammonia Bath for Brass Alloy Coatings on Steel Substrate by Electrodeposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
The electrodeposition of highly adherent brass alloy coating onto steel substrate was successfully achieved using a cyanide-free ammonia solution. Ammonia solution forms soluble complexes with both Zn2+ and Cu2+ ions with high stability constants.

Machine Learning‐assisted Interpretation of Scan‐Rate‐dependent Glucose Sensing on Nickel Cobalt Oxide/Porous Carbon Modified Screen‐printed Electrodes

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2026.
Machine learning is integrated with electrochemical sensing to interpret cyclic voltammetry data for non‐enzymatic glucose detection using a NiCo2O4/porous carbon electrode. Predictive performance is shown to depend on scan rate and electrochemical behavior, with Linear Regression and LASSO providing robust predictions under different kinetic regimes ...

Development of a Stable Electrolyte for Dendrite Suppression and High‐Performance Zn–I2 Redox Flow Battery

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
An NH4Cl additive stabilizes Zn–I2 redox chemistry in aqueous Zn–I2 redox flow batteries by suppressing iodine precipitation and mitigating zinc dendrite formation. These improve reversibility and electrolyte stability, leading to enhanced coulombic and energy efficiencies, as well as substantially prolonged cycling performance.
