Tackling cancer stemness with nanotechnology in the era of precision medicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Precise customization of nanoparticles (NPs) enables active targeting of cancer stem cells (CSCs), thereby improving drug delivery and therapeutic efficacy. NP‐based probing enhances CSC detection through imaging and liquid biopsy, whereas diverse therapeutic payloads improve therapeutic outcomes.

Dual Regulatory Functions of Classical Zinc Finger Clusters from Myeloid Zinc Finger‐1

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The classical zinc finger (ZF) protein MZF1 uses two ZF clusters to achieve metal‐dependent and gene‐specific promoter recognition. The differential redox stability and modular utilization of the two ZF clusters enable MZF1 to regulate cerebrovascular, neuronal, and cancer‐related transcriptional programs.

Association of an Early Resistance Genomic State With Early Progression Following CDK4/6 Inhibitor Therapy in HR+/HER2− Metastatic Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Nexus, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT CDK4/6 inhibitors combined with endocrine therapy are the standard first‐line treatment for hormone receptor‐positive (HR+) HER2‐negative metastatic breast cancer. However, a substantial proportion of patients experience early disease progression in routine practice. Clinicians currently lack practical tools at treatment initiation to identify

The Diagnostic Value of Immunohistochemistry and Biomarkers in the Diagnosis of Mesothelioma in Pleural/Peritoneal Effusions

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Mesothelioma is a rare tumor that arises from the serosal cells lining the serous cavities, most commonly the pleura followed by the peritoneum. Presenting symptoms include pleuritic pain and bloody effusions that recur. Although cytologic analysis cannot determine the mesothelial subtype or in situ from invasive disease, the ...
