Electrocatalytic Reduction and Oxidation Conversion of Plant Biomass

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
This review therefore establishes a unified “compound–catalyst–conversion” paradigm, systematically categorizing and analyzing electrocatalytic oxidation and reduction pathways for the three major classes of plant‐derived components—aromatics, aliphatics, and terpenoids—to provide a clear navigational map for the field.

2-(Naphthalen-1-ylamino)cyclohexanol

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2011
The title compound, C16H19NO, was synthesized under solvent-free conditions by reaction of 7-oxa-bicyclo[4.1.0]heptane and naphthalen-1-amine in the presence of Ca(CF3COO)2 as catalyst. The cyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation.

Electrochemical N‐hydroxyphthalimide Catalyzed Addition of α‐Alkoxy Radicals to Oxime Ethers

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 4, 17 February 2026.
N‐hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) serves as an electrocatalyst that enables selective hydrogen atom transfer from alkyl alcohols under mild electrochemical conditions. In contrast with the well‐known electrochemical oxidation to their corresponding aldehydes or ketones, α‐alkoxy radicals were successfully coupled with oximes promoting a carbon‐carbon bond ...

A Solid State Zwitterionic Plastic Crystal With High Static Dielectric Constant

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 11, 20 February 2026.
Developing solid high dielectric constant materials has been a research focus in the energy storage field. In this research, we discovered a zwitterion with a plastic crystal phase. Due to the short‐range degree of freedom of the dipole moment for this zwitterion, a relatively high static dielectric constant has been achieved in its solid state ...

Pickering or Non‐Pickering Dilemma: A Complicated System of Anionic Lignin‐Incorporated Oil‐Water Emulsions

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 3, February 2026.
Sulfoethylated and carboxyethylated lignin derivatives were fabricated, and their impacts on stabilizing soybean oil–water were analyzed in Pickering and non‐Pickering systems. It was noticed that the lignin derivatives behaved very differently, implying that the modification routes played an important role in their performance.

Enhanced Hydrogenation of Cyclohexanone: A Multi‐Scale Investigation Into Noncatalytic and Catalytic Pathways Towards Sustainable Conversion

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 2, Page 808-830, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The selective hydrogenation of oxygenated compounds is crucial for the conversion of biocrude into platform chemicals. However, the presence of stable oxygenated species, cyclohexanone, in biocrude limits possess a challenge for easy conversion process.

D‐Optimal Design for Enzymatic Ring‐Opening Polymerization of ε‐Caprolactone: Toward Sustainable Polyester Synthesis Using Biobased Solvents

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 817-824, 1 February 2026.
A D‐optimal design of experiments maps the influence of key reaction parameters on enzymatic ε‐caprolactone polymerization. Thus linking multivariate conditions to conversion, molar mass characteristics, and by‐product formation, whilst demonstrating that biobased solvents offer viable, sustainable media for polyester synthesis.
