Sinusoidal electromagnon in RMnO3: Indication of anomalous magnetoelectric coupling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The optical spectra in the family of multiferroic manganites RMnO3 is a great puzzle. Current models can not explain the fact that two strong electromagnons are present in the non-collinear spin cycloidal phase, with only one electromagnon surviving the ...

Dynamics of solar wind protons reflected by the Moon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Solar system bodies that lack a significant atmosphere and significant internal magnetic fields, such as the Moon and asteroids, have been considered as passive absorbers of the solar wind. However, ion observations near the Moon by the SELENE spacecraft

USING THE 3D MODEL IN THE MANUFACTURING AND CONTROL PROCESS OF THE CYCLOID PROFILE WHEELS

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics, 2006
In the vibroacoustic performances of the cycloid gear reducer, major influences have the technological parameters: the shape errors of the wells’ tooth and the roughness of the active cycloid profile.

Tooth Cutting Machining of Cycloid Coupling based on Monolithic Cutter

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2021
In order to realize the machining of the cycloid coupling on the domestic CNC bevel gear milling machine, the cutting principle and processing method of the cycloid coupling are studied.

Ginzburg-Landau theory for the conical cycloid state in multiferroics: applications to CoCr$_2$O$_4$

open access: yes, 2008
We show that the cycloidal magnetic order of a multiferroic can arise in the absence of spin and lattice anisotropies, for e.g., in a cubic material, and this explains the occurrence of such a state in CoCr$_2$O$_4$.

Temperature-dependent properties of the magnetic order in single-crystal BiFeO3

open access: yes, 2011
We report neutron diffraction and magnetization studies of the magnetic order in multiferroic BiFeO3. In ferroelectric monodomain single crystals, there are three magnetic cycloidal domains with propagation vectors equivalent by crystallographic symmetry.

Interpolation on cycloidal spaces

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 2014
In this contribution the authors deal with Hermite interpolation problems on cycloidal spaces. Let us remind that a cycloidal space \(C_{n}\) of dimension \(n+1\) is the linear space generated by \(\{\cos x,\sin x, 1,x,\dots, x^{n-2}\},\) \(n\geq 2,\) and \(C_{1}= \operatorname{span}\{\cos x, \sin x\}\).

Evidence of electro-active excitation of the spin cycloid in TbMnO3

open access: yes, 2010
Terahertz electromagnetic excitations in the multiferroic TbMnO3 at the field-induced magnetic transition are investigated for different orientations of the magnetic cycloid.

Ferroelectricity from spin supercurrents in LiCuVO4

open access: yes, 2011
We have studied the magnetic structure of the ferroelectric frustrated spin-1/2 chain material LiCuVO4 in applied electric and magnetic fields using polarized neutrons.
