Family Cydnidae Billberg, 1820
2023The fauna of the family Cydnidae Billberg, 1820 in the Middle East includes 92 species in 28 genera. Also, the fauna of Iranian Cydnidae comprises 62 species in 22 genera of which Byrsinus with 11 recorded species is more diverse than the other genera. Additionally, the fauna of Iran is the most diverse among the Middle Eastern countries.

To the nomenclature of two species of the genus Adomerus (Heteroptera: Cydnidae)
Zootaxa, 2021The study of the lectotype of Sehirus fuscipennis Horváth, 1899 showed that this specimen is conspecific with Canthophorus maculipes sensu Aukema & Constant, 2016 and Adomerus maculipes sensu Gapon, 2018. To promote stability of nomenclature, the neotype of Cydnus maculipes Mulsant et Rey 1852 is designated instead of the lost syntypes.

The Great Lakes Entomologist, 2018Notes on 17 species of Wisconsin Cydnidae taken from specimens in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Insect Research Collection are included in this faunal list. Genera include Amnestus, Corimelaena, Cydnoides, Galgupha, Melanaethes, Microporus, Tominotus and Sehirus.
