The GNSS-R Cygnss Mission: an Update
IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019The CYGNSS constellation was successfully launched on 15 Dec 2016 and has been operating continuously in science data-taking mode since March 2017. Updates will be presented on the mission status, calibration and validation activities for its science data products, and recent scientific applications of the measurements.

Investigations into CYGNSS-Based Soil Moisture Retrieval Algorithms
IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019NASA’s Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) receives the forward scattered L-band GNSS signals between ±37° latitudes. The received signals over land are previously shown to be highly sensitive to surface soil moisture (SM). Assuming coherent reflections over land, the CYGNSS bistatic radars can provide a spatial resolution of around 7 ×

The nasa cygnss mission: Overview and status update
2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017The NASA Earth Venture Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) is a constellation of eight microsatellite observatories that was launched into a low (35°) inclination, low Earth orbit on 15 December 2016. Each observatory carries a 4-channel GNSS-R bistatic radar receiver.
