2017As sparse arrays cost fewer elements, they are less expensive than dense arrays and could be applied widely in antenna and sonar deployment, two sparse cylindrical arrays are proposed in this paper. A cylindrical spiral patch array
2000 5th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation, and EM Theory. ISAPE 2000 (IEEE Cat. No.00EX417), 2000A simplified approach to the analysis of the patterns of a cylindrical spiral patch array is presented. In this approach, the patch element is characterized using the cavity model and the radiation patterns for each element are calculated, assuming it is mounted on a flat surface, while the curvature effects are considered in the patterns of the array.

A cylindrical array for the TACAN system
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1974A new cylindrical array has been developed for the TACAN ground antenna application. The technical requirements are unique since the circumferential radiation pattern is quasi-omnidirectional with multiple lobes and must be rotated at a precise rate. This is accomplished by electronically modulating the azimuth aperture distribution.

They consist of antenna array, subreflector, feeding network and bal-un, all printed on the same dielectric substrate. Cylindrical Cochlear Electrode Array for Use in Humans
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology, 1989This report describes the fabrication of a flexible multichannel electrode array suitable for use in humans. The conductors, pads, and stimulating tips are made of platinum on a polyimide substrate. Photolithographic techniques are employed in the fabrication of the electrode on a planar surface in the form of a film.

A Parallel Miniature Cylindrical Ion Trap Array
Analytical Chemistry, 2000A small mass spectrometer array is described in which each element is a cylindrical ion trap (CIT). The array contains four CITs, each having an inner radius of 2.5 mm, arranged in parallel and operated using a single electronics system under common conditions for trapping and mass analysis.
