On the static running accuracy of cylindrical roller bearings.
The quasi-static vibratory analysis of a rotor supported by cylindrical roller bearings is presented. The system is an ideal cylindrical roller bearing in which the inner ring moves in a radial plane with two degrees of freedom under a constant radial load.

Effect of a combined machining/burnishing tool on the roughness and mechanical properties [PDF]
Burnishing is a cold working surface treatment process in which plastic deformation of surface irregularities occurs by exerting pressure through a very hard and a very smooth roller or ball on a surface to generate a uniform and work-hardened surface ...

Harnessing Thin‐Film Solid‐State Electrolytes: Enabling Breakthroughs in All‐Solid‐State Batteries
Schematic illustration highlighting the advantages of transitioning from traditional thick solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) to thin‐film SSEs. Thinning the electrolyte enables higher ionic conductivity, reduced interfacial polarization, improved flexibility, compact electrode contact, and enhanced energy density, offering a promising pathway toward high‐

Rocking and Rolling of Rigid Polygons Under Seismic Excitation
ABSTRACT We present an event driven analytical framework for rigid cyclic polygons subjected to horizontal ground excitation in which uplift, impact, and successive pivot switching are treated within a unified non‐smooth dynamical description. Rolling is defined as a sequence of energetically admissible transitions between neighbouring vertices tied to

Preliminary Comparison of 17- and 75-millimeter-bore Cageless Cylindrical Roller Bearings with Conventional Cylindrical Roller Bearings at High Speeds [PDF]
Preliminary results at high speeds indicate lower bearing temperatures, less internal bearing wear, and greater reliability of the conventional, cage-type cylindrical roller bearings than of either full-complement or special cageless roller bearings of ...

Mechanical plaque removal in step‐1 of care
Abstract Maintaining a regular oral hygiene routine is essential for taking care of our mouths, ensuring healthy teeth, and achieving fresh breath. Patient education on oral hygiene is an important component of their overall treatment. Firstly, patients should be informed about the direct connection between bacteria in dental plaque and oral diseases ...
