Generation of cylindrical vector beams based on metasurface
A method of generating cylindrical vector beams based on metasurface is presented in this paper. The metasurface is a fused silica with a space-variant non-periodic grating which is written by laser. The non-periodic grating induces a space-variant effective birefringence that modulates the space distribution of polarization state.

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Miniature Soft Robot With Magnetically Reprogrammable Surgical Functions
Miniature soft robots have great prospects to revolutionize minimally invasive treatments. Here we present a miniature soft robot, which can be reprogrammed to perform five surgical functionalities with six‐degrees‐of‐freedom motions. This soft robot can prospectively make minimally invasive surgery considerably safer and painless, and enable ...

Transverse spin Hall effect and polarization twist ribbon at the sharp focus
In this work, using the Richards-Wolf formalism, we found explicit analytical expressions for the coordinates of the major and minor axes of the polarization ellipse centered in the focal plane for a cylindrical vector beam of integer order n. For such a

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Monolayer Chiral Metasurface for Generation of Arbitrary Cylindrical Vector Beams
The cylindrical vector beam (CVB) has been widely studied and applied in recent years. However, many CVB generation methods suffer from complex systems, and large-size devices are required. Here, we propose a monolayer chiral metasurface composed of spin-

A new benign solvent (1,3‐diphenylacetone) enables a simple, safe, and sustainable dissolution and gelation method to convert waste PET into low density, monolithic aerogels with high mechanical strength (E = 20 MPa) and remarkably low thermal conductivity (k = 21.9 to 28.9 mW/m·K).

Generation of hallow vector beam by high-order cylindrical vector beams
We propose a method for generating hollow beams using higher-order cylindrical vector modes of the form R-TEMpl, where the radial index p is varied from 1 to 3 while the azimuthal index is fixed at l = 1. It is found that this scheme performs identically under incident illumination with either radial or azimuthal polarization.
