AbstractAthletic field managers often adjust agronomic practices according to the desires of coaches and athletes. One such agronomic practice often adjusted is mowing height. In an attempt to have athletes run faster, field managers are persuaded to reduce mowing height, thereby reducing potential friction from the surface on an athlete.
