Ensaios de embriogénese somática e transformação genética em tamarilho (Cyphomandra betacea [Cav.] Sendt.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
O tamarilho (Cyphomandra betacea (Cav.)

Arabis mosaic virus inCyphomandra betaceaeSendt. [PDF]

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, 1972
Abstract Arabis mosaic virus (AMV), in association with its vector Xiphinema diversicaudatum, is recorded for the first time in New Zealand. It was found occurring naturally on tamarillos (tree tomatoes) and was transferred experimentally to produce symptoms on Buttercup squash, cowpea, cucumber, french bean, lupin, Petunia, soybean, and tobacco.

Interspecific hybridisation involving the tamarillo,Cyphomandra betacea(Cav.) Sendt. (Solanaceae) [PDF]

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, 1991
Abstract The tamarillo, Cyphomandra betacea (Cav.) Sendt. (Solanaceae), is a minor fruit crop grown in New Zealand and in subtropical climates elsewhere around the world. There is little genetic variation in the cultigen, but characters of commercial importance have been observed in related wild species.

Antimicrobial activity of glycosidase inhibitory protein isolated from Cyphomandra betacea Sendt. fruit

open access: yesPeptides, 2006
Broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity of an invertase inhibitory protein (IIP) isolated from Cyphomandra betacea ripe fruits is documented. Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values were determined by agar macrodilution and broth microdilution assays.
