About an Attempt to Use the Cyrillic Alphabet for the Mongolian Language

An attempt to create a written Mongolian language based on the Cyrillic script is linked to the missionary activities of Archbishop Nil (1799-1874) among the Buryat Mongols. On his initiative, several Christian liturgical books were translated into Mongolian and printed in St. Petersburg.

Abstract In 2017, Kazakhstan announced the transition of the Kazakh writing system from Cyrillic to the Latin alphabet. This paper examines how the Latinization of the Kazakh language is portrayed in Western media. The findings are based on the thematic content analysis of 34 news articles.

TRANSLITERATION OF “MANAS” BY JUSUP MAMAI INTO CYRILLIC KYRGYZ ALPHABET

Prefecture uses the script which based on Arabic alphabet. The all publications there are published in this Kyrgyz script. The variant of “Manas” by famous manaschy Jusup Mamai who lives in that Kyrgyz Autonomy Prefecture was published in 2004 in Xingjian publishing house in two volumes.
