Studying the Ingress of Ag Nanoparticles into Imprinted Nanocavities by Nanoimpact Electrochemistry

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 15, July 24, 2025.
The ingress of single silver nanoparticles (NPs) into nanocavities is studied by nanoimpact electrochemistry. The NP‐imprinted matrix approach is used to create well‐defined nanocavities that reuptake selectively silver NPs based on their size as detected by the current–time oxidation transients of single NPs.

The Influence of pH on the Radioprotective Action of Cysteamine*

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1969
Cysteamine is one of the most effective radioprotective agents available at the present time, as has been demonstrated in a great variety of biological and chemical systems. The damaging action of X-rays on the hair follicle of the mouse has also been shown to be reduced by cysteamine.

Principle and experiment of protein detection based on optical fiber sensing

open access: yesPhotonic Sensors, 2017
A method for detecting protein molecules based on the tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) surface plasma resonance (SPR) is proposed to achieve the quick online real-time detection of trace amount of proteins.

Cysteamine therapy: a treatment for cystinosis, not a cure [PDF]

open access: yesKidney International, 2012
Cystinosis as a clinical entity is a progressive dysfunction of multiple organs caused by the accumulation of cystine in the tissues, leading, for example, to end-stage renal failure, diabetes, hypothyroidism, myopathy, and central nervous system deterioration.

Interaction between galectin-3 and cystinosin uncovers a pathogenic role of inflammation in kidney involvement of cystinosis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Inflammation is involved in the pathogenesis of many disorders. However, the underlying mechanisms are often unknown. Here, we test whether cystinosin, the protein involved in cystinosis, is a critical regulator of galectin-3, a member of the β ...

Combined liver-kidney transplantation: Analysis of patients with preformed lymphocytotoxic antibody [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
In this report, we address combined liver-kidney transplantation, with particular attention to the apparent phenomenon of protection of kidney allografts to antibody mediated destruction by liver allografts.
