Cystic Medionecrosis of the Pulmonary Arteries
Chest, 1970Cystic medionecrosis (CMN) characteristically affects the aorta. That it also may involve vessels in the lung is not widely appreciated. Two patients are presented in whom cystic medionecrosis of the pulmonary arteries accounted for dramatic clinical and pathologic findings.

Laparoscopic anatomy of the cystic artery
The American Journal of Surgery, 1992Uncontrolled arterial bleeding during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a serious problem and may increase the risk of bile duct damage. Therefore, accurate identification of the anatomy of the cystic artery is important. We reviewed the anatomy of the cystic artery and its variations as seen through the video laparoscope.

Radioembolization and the Cystic Artery
Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 2014Based on a review of the literature about the topic and personal experience obtained in several years performing radioembolization, if I have to answer the question posed by Prince et al (1), I will arrive at a very similar conclusion as the authors: Yes, we need to take precautionary measures with RE, as we always do when performing an interventional ...

Anatomical Variations of the Cystic Artery
European Journal of Morphology, 2003Thorough knowledge about the origin of the cystic artery is surgically important, especially when intraoperative or post-operative bleeding occurs in the gallbladder fossa. The arterial supply of the gallbladder was studied in 81 livers. The gallbladder was supplied by one cystic artery in 86% and by two arteries in 14% of cases.

Colour doppler imaging of the cystic artery
Clinical Radiology, 1992AbstractColor Doppler ultrasonography was used to examine the gallbladder vascular supply in 30 volunteers and in 30 biliary lithotripsy patients pre‐ and 2 hours posttreatment. A preliminary study of 10 cases of acute cholecystitis was also performed.

Cystic Adventitial Disease of the Popliteal Artery
Southern Medical Journal, 1984Cystic adventitial disease of the popliteal artery is a rare but well recognized cause of arterial occlusive changes producing disabling symptoms in young patients. We have described a 37-year-old long-distance runner who noticed progressive decrease in the function of his right leg over a period of several months. The presence of an arterial occlusive

Adventitial Cystic Disease of the Axillary Artery
Annals of Vascular Surgery, 2002Adventitial cystic disease (ACD) is an extremely rare cause of arterial and venous insufficiency, with only 317 reported cases in the world literature. These lesions have been previously described in the popliteal fossa, external iliac artery, and distal brachial, radial, and ulnar arteries as well as in the proximal saphenous vein at the ankle.

Cystic adventitial disease of the popliteal artery
Vascular, 2011Cystic adventitial disease (CAD) is a rare condition caused by a cystic abnormality of the adventitia. It is most commonly found in young or middle-aged adults without significant risk factors for peripheral arterial disease. The disease usually affects the popliteal artery and can present with intermittent claudication.

Cystic adventitial disease of the popliteal artery
The American Journal of Surgery, 2000A53-year-old man presented with intermittent claudication of his right leg and a painless walking distance of about 120 meters. On examination there were no stigmata of generalized arterial disease. The peripheral pulses were present with the limb extended but disappeared during knee joint flexion.
