Focal cystic endometrial hyperplasia in a bitch
Journal of Small Animal Practice, 1995ABSTRACTRapid abdominal enlargement and weight gain occurred in a four‐year‐old Rhodesian ridgeback bitch in late oestrus. The bitch was nulliparous. Severe cardiovascular dysfunction followed and an exploratory laparotomy was performed. A large, single, spheroid mass weighing 17 kg was located in the middle section of the left uterine horn.

Severe Hematometra in a Dog With Cystic Endometrial Hyperplasia/Pyometra Complex
Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association, 2002An 18-month-old, intact female German shepherd dog was presented for evaluation of severe, frank hemorrhage from the vulva. A complete blood count, serum biochemical analysis, and urinalysis supported acute hemorrhage. Abdominal radiographs were unremarkable.

Theriogenology, 2006The objective of this study was to develop a reliable model for the study of the cystic endometrial hyperplasia and pyometra complex (CEH/P) in the bitch. Greyhound bitches (n = 15) were ovariectomised and allocated into three groups (Group 1, n = 5; Group 2, n = 5; Group 3, n = 10, including 5 used from Group 1).

Comparative Clinical Pathology, 2010A 10-year-old intact female German shepherd dog was presented with a chief compliant of vaginal bleeding that had become progressively heavier over a 2-week period. On clinical examination, the abdominal cavity was distended, and no wounds or masses were observed in vulva and caudal vaginal regions.
