Video: Laparoscopic Anterior Cystogastrostomy
Surgical Laparoscopy, Endoscopy & Percutaneous Techniques, 2010This video, Supplemental Digital Content 1, http://links.lww.com/SLE/A10, shows the steps necessary to carry out a stapled laparoscopic cystogastrostomy through an anterior gastrotomy. As with open surgery, at least a 3-cm anastamosis should be created to reduce the risk of early closure and recurrent pseudocyst formation.

Total Laparoscopic Cystogastrostomy for the Treatment of Pancreatic Pseudocyst
Journal of Laparoendoscopic & Advanced Surgical Techniques, 2002Laparoscopic surgery may be performed for the treatment of pancreatic pseudocyst when decompression is indicated. Most of reported laparoscopic procedures are performed by inserting trocars via the anterior gastric wall and operating intraluminally with gastric insufflation and endoscopic guidance.

Laparoscopic Cystogastrostomy for Pancreatic Pseudocyst
1995The development of endoscopic techniques for cystogastrostomy in the treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts has added treatment options when confronting this complex group of patients. However, the location of the cyst or the amount of debris in it occasionally dictates surgical drainage as catheters prove inadequate. A laparoscopic technique is presented

Pseudocysts Treated by Cystogastrostomy
Archives of Surgery, 1966INTERNAL drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts has gradually replaced all other forms of surgical drainage procedures for this condition. Cystogastrostomy is selected for internal drainage when the operative findings indicate that the pseudocyst lies in an advantageous position such that drainage into the stomach will effectively empty the cyst.

Percutaneous cystogastrostomy for treatment of pancreatic collections
Radiología (English Edition)Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory condition associated with a potential torpid evolution comprising multiple organ failure, pancreatic necrosis, infected collections and high mortality. Cystogastrostomy in the Treatment of Pancreatic Pseudocysts
1993The treatment of pancreatic pseudocysts today comprises the possibilities of internal and external drainage, and pancreas resection, as well as interventional procedures [8]. The drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts by anastomosis to the stomach is among the oldest internal drainage techniques.
