Temporal Stretch‐Induced Nuclear Mechanosensing Coordinates Early Chromatin Accessibility and Genome Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 5, 27 January 2026.
Cyclic stretching of fibroblasts triggers coordinated nuclear mechanosensing events, including calcium ion release, perinuclear actin assembly, emerin translocation, and H3K9me3 loss, increasing chromatin accessibility for specific genes related to mechanotransduction and repair.

Self‐Assembled Nanocomplexes of Oligomerized Catechins and Deoxyribonuclease‐I for Synergistically Enhancing Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study develops a self‐assembled O/DNase‐I nanocomplex that eliminates neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) and blocks their formation, accelerates diabetic ulcers (DUs) healing in mice through the synergetic effect of DNase‐I and oligomerized epigallocatechin gallate (OEGCG).

Perfluorooctanesulfonamide-induced epiboly delay is associated with decreased ATP production within zebrafish embryos

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) persistence within environmental media has led to ubiquitous exposure within humans and wildlife. We previously found that exposure of zebrafish embryos to perfluorooctanesulfonamide (PFOSA) from 0.75 to 6 h ...

A Hypoxia‐Responsive Near‐Infrared Phosphorescence Nanoprobe for High‐Sensitive Detection of Tumor Cells and Imaging of Colorectal Cancer In Situ

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
We have successfully developed a hypoxia‐responsive near‐infrared phosphorescent probe, Ir‐PEG. This nanoprobe demonstrates high sensitivity, water solubility, and deep‐tissue penetration. It remains specifically activatable even in the hypoxic intestinal environment, facilitating high‐contrast imaging of orthotopic colon cancer.

Protein S Enhances the Phagocytosis of Phosphatidylserine‐Exposing Erythrocytes: Implications in Sickle Cell Disease

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 1, Page 26-40, January 2026.
ABSTRACT The major anticoagulant Protein S (PROS1) also contributes to the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells by bridging exposed phosphatidylserine (PtdSer) to the MerTK receptor on macrophages (efferocytosis). Whether PROS1 is involved in the splenic clearance of PtdSer‐positive senescent and altered erythrocytes such as erythrocyte ghosts (eryghosts ...

Altered Inflammatory Signature in a C9ORF72 ‐ALS iPSC‐Derived Motor Neuron and Microglia Coculture Model

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 1, January 2026.
Established a C9ORF72 ALS microglia and motor neuron coculture model. Identified an altered inflammatory signature in C9ORF72 ALS microglia. Single‐cell RNA sequencing detected the removal of an LPS responsive microglia subpopulation. ABSTRACT Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder involving multiple cell types in ...
