Targeting DNGR‐1 with Fangchinoline Elevates Dendritic Cell Antigen Cross‐Presentation‐Mediated Antitumor Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fangchinoline is identified as a small‐molecule DNGR‐1 modulator that enhances dendritic‐cell cross‐presentation of tumor antigens. By engaging DNGR‐1 and activating Syk–Nox2 signaling, it promotes phagosomal ROS, antigen escape, MHC‐I presentation, and CD8+ T‐cell priming, thereby strengthening antitumor immunity and sensitizing tumors to PD‐1 ...

Morphological and genetic comparative analyses of populations of Zoogoneticus quitzeoensis (Cyprinodontiformes: Goodeidae) from Central Mexico, with description of a new species Análisis comparativo morfológico y genético de diferentes poblaciones de Zoogoneticus quitzeoensis (Cyprinodontiformes:Goodeidae) del Centro de México, con la descripción de una especie nueva

open access: yesRevista Mexicana de Biodiversidad, 2008
A genetic and morphometric study of populations of Zoogoneticus quitzeoensis (Bean, 1898) from the Lerma and Ameca basins and Cuitzeo, Zacapu and Chapala Lakes in Central Mexico was conducted.

From Defense Executor to Engineering Target: Harnessing Lignin for Crop Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lignin serves as both a physical and chemical executor of broad‐spectrum plant immunity. This review systematically summarizes classical and recent advances in lignin‐mediated immunity, outlines the multifaceted regulatory modules controlling lignification under biotic stress, discusses key physiological and biochemical mechanisms behind lignin‐based ...

Conformational Snapshots of CydDC in a Native Lipid Bilayer Coupling Heme Transport to Antibiotic Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phylogenetic and biochemical analyses of the heme transporter CydDC reveal its functional conservation throughout bacterial evolution and demonstrate its unique asymmetric allosteric mechanism. Furthermore, impairment of CydDC function directly affects bacterial antibiotic resistance and likely compromises antibiotic efficacy through drug efflux.

The preparation and characterisation of novel microperoxidase biocatalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Microperoxidases are haem oligopeptides, derived from the proteolytic digestion of cytochrome c, possessing peroxidase activity. They are termed "microperoxidases" in contrast to other relatively large peroxidases such as horseradish peroxidase.

A Modular PLUG‐IN Photosynthetic Chassis With Tunable Thermal Control for Mammalian Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work establishes a “plug‐in” chassis compatible with mammalian systems that synchronizes growth, production, and cell‐wall re‐configuration, providing a versatile platform for photosynthetic bioproduction and microalgal synthetic biology. ABSTRACT Microalgae are promising photosynthetic platforms for high‐value compounds, yet their industrial use ...
