Biosynthesis and accumulation of tanshinones in the periderm of Salvia miltiorrhiza during secondary root growth. Summary Perennial herbs develop long‐lived roots that undergo repeated cycles of secondary growth, during which the periderm functions as a protective barrier and a major site of specialized metabolite accumulation.

ABSTRACT Theacrine (1,3,7,9‐tetramethyluric acid) is a purine alkaloid detected in multiple wild and specialised tea germplasms (Camellia sinensis) from South China, including Kucha. However, the molecular mechanisms governing its biosynthesis remain poorly understood. Here, we identify CsTcS2 as a novel theacrine synthase in tea plant.

ABSTRACT Mitochondria serve as cellular powerhouses that generate ATP via electron transport chain complexes and orchestrate metabolism‐apoptosis cross‐talk, yet genes maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis remain underexplored as antifungal targets. In this study, a previously uncharacterised protein VdAtuA3 was identified as a novel interactor with ...

Studies On Cytochrome P-450 in Some Higher Plants.
This thesis presents data obtained on the nature and roles of cytochrome P-450 in some higher plant tissues. The following were found, by spectral investigation, to have specific microsomal P-450 concentrations of the same order of magnitude as rat liver:

Optimization of photobiomodulation therapy for spinal cord injury: A review
Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy in the red and near‐infrared range can significantly modulate the secondary injury response and promote the reparative and regenerative potential of neural tissue after spinal cord injury (SCI). At present, due to the nature of delivery methods, the most effective dose and irradiance at the injury site to optimize ...

Effect of portal arterialization on hepatic cytochrome P 450 in rats with portacaval shunt
Fractional clearance of colloidal gold particles (k), liver weight and hepatic cytochrome P 450 were measured in rats with portacaval shunt and in rats with portacaval shunt plus arterialization of the hepatic stump of the portal vein.

Pyrethroid insecticides are used to control diseases spread by arthropods. We have developed a suite of pyrethroid mimetic activity-based probes (PyABPs) to selectively label and identify P450s associated with pyrethroid metabolism.

ABSTRACT Equine melanocytic neoplasms (EMN) are aggressive tumours characterised by high metastatic potential and limited therapeutic options available. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying their progression remain poorly understood. This study therefore presents the integrative phosphoproteomic analysis of EMN tissue, with the aim of ...
