Studies in the Cactaceae. [PDF]

The Effect of Laurylalcohol on Mitotic Index, on Deffects of Cell-Division and on Cytomixis
SUMMARYThe paper describes the effect 24 hours of action of laurylalcohol upon cell division in roots of Vicia faba. Simultaneously reversibility after 12 hours of action was observed. The results of cytological studies indicate that: 1. The mitotic indices are reversely proportional to the duration of the treatment with laurylalcohol.2.
