Biophysical Features and Local Early Conformational Propensities in Intrinsically Disordered Regions of Rhabdoviral Glycoproteins [PDF]
Most harmful rhabdoviruses cause disease that is invariably lethal to humans, animals and plants. Throughout viral infection, protein refolding is a complex process critical to both receptor recognition and membrane-interacting fusion domains mediated by

Viral proteins can aggregate into granules within host cells, known as viral factories, or viroplasms, which play a pivotal role in facilitating viral replication and shielding the viral genome from cellular defense mechanisms.

Ultrastructure of viruliferous Javesella pellucida transmitting Festuca leaf streak virus (genus Cytorhabdovirus) [PDF]
SummaryThe ultrastructure of cells in the head and thorax from viruliferous Javesella pellucida transmitting Festuca leaf streak virus was studied. Aggregates of nonenveloped nucleocapsid particles were observed at the periphery of viroplasms located in cytoplasm of salivary gland cells, fat cells, and nerve cell bodies.
