Minimum leaf conductance during drought: unravelling its variability and impact on plant survival. [PDF]

open access: yesNew Phytol
Summary Leaf water loss after stomatal closure is key to understanding the effects of prolonged drought on vegetation. It is therefore important to accurately quantify such water losses to improve physiology‐based models of drought‐induced plant mortality.

open access: yesOENO One, 1991

Physiological Responses of Wild and Cultivated Barley to the Interactive Effect of Salinity and Iron Deficiency

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
Literature on the separate effects of salinity and inadequate Fe supply on plant growth and nutrient uptake, concentration, and distribution is abundant but little is known about the interactive effects of these two abiotic constraints. Here, we investigated the interactive effect of iron availability and salinity on physiological responses of ...

A Decontamination Process to Remove Metals and Stabilise Montreal Sewage Sludge

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 1121-1126, 2002., 2002
The Montreal Urban Community (MUC) treatment plant produces approximately 270 tons of dry sludge daily (tds/day) during physicochemical wastewater treatment. The sludges are burned and contribute to the greenhouse effect by producing atmospheric CO2.
