Biogeography of Bursaphelenchus Species Driven by Climate, Vectors and Hosts: Implications for Forest Pathology Under Climate Change

open access: yesForest Pathology, Volume 56, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Wood‐inhabiting nematodes of the genus Bursaphelenchus are a group with significant ecological and economic impacts on global forest ecosystems. This review aims to update current knowledge on their spatial distribution, host‐vector associations and the factors driving species expansion under the framework of climate change.

Untreated Rosehip Powder/Poly(Lactic Acid)/Poly(3‐Hydroxybutyrate‐Co‐4‐Hydroxybutyrate) Electrospun Mats for Wound Dressing Applications

open access: yesBiopolymers, Volume 117, Issue 4, July 2026.
The addition of untreated rosehip powder (RoHi) to PLA/P(3HB‐co‐4HB) blend affected the fiber diameter, wettability, and liquid adsorption capacity of the obtained electrospun nanofibers. Moreover, RoHi‐added nanofibers were found to be biocompatible, promote fibroblast migration and wound closure, and exhibit significant antioxidant activity.

KATP Channel Expression Determines ONC212 Sensitivity via Mitochondrial Dysfunction and PERK/ATF4/CHOP Activation in Glioblastoma

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 14, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits profound metabolic plasticity and resistance to conventional therapies, partly driven by mitochondrial adaptability and stress response mechanisms. ONC212, a second‐generation imipridone, targets mitochondrial proteostasis, yet determinants of tumour sensitivity remain unclear.

Shallow Modeling and Site‐Amplification From Telecommunications Fibers in Istanbul

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract We use pre‐existing fiber‐optic telecommunications fibers in Istanbul, Türkiye, to generate a seismic velocity model of the subsurface down to 100 m depth, and estimate site‐amplification in the region. We collect ambient noise, predominantly from urban traffic, along the 8 km segment fiber, extract Rayleigh wave dispersion curves, and use a ...
