Promising Prodiginins Biological Activities

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Prodiginins are a large family of at least 34 pyrrolic compounds, including the well‐studied red pigment prodigiosin. Prodiginins are produced by several microorganisms displaying broad biological activities, including antimicrobial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antiproliferative, and immunosuppressive activities.

B-type D-branes in hybrid models

open access: yesSciPost Physics
A hybrid model is a fibration of a Landau-Ginzburg orbifold over a geometric base. We study B-type D-branes in hybrid models. Imposing B-type supersymmetry on the boundary action, we show that D-branes are specified by matrix factorisations in the fibre ...

On the effective action of D-brane-anti-D-brane system [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2007
We examine the proposal for constructing the effective action of a D-brane-anti-D-brane system from the non-abelian extension of tachyon DBI action. We consider two prescriptions for the trace in the non-abelian tachyon DBI action. The usual trace and the symmetric trace prescription.

Evaluating the Impact of Flour Protein Content on the Quality of Wholegrain Refrigerated Dough

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Refrigerated dough products offer convenience, but are often produced using refined flour. However, wholewheat flour‐based products provide health benefits by increasing dietary fiber intake. This study aims to determine the optimal flour protein content for developing clean label refrigerated dough using wholegrain ...

Study of biodegradable poly(butylene succinate‐co‐adipate) (PBSA) maleation: Analysis of grafting, thermal, and rheological behaviour

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Maleation of poly(butylene succinate‐co‐adipate) (PBSA): Effect of the initiator concentration on the grafting percentage. Abstract Herein, the effects of varied concentrations of an organic peroxide and maleic anhydride (MA) on the grafting percentage as well as the amount of gel content, rheological, and thermal properties of MA‐grafted‐poly(butylene

D 3 ¯ $$ \overline{\textrm{D}3} $$ -branes and gaugino condensation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Anti-D3 branes at the bottom of warped throats, commonly used to uplift the cosmological constant in String-Theory de Sitter proposals, source a plethora of supersymmetry-breaking fluxes, that can interact nontrivially with other ingredients of the flux ...

Corn cob pyrolysis: A systematic literature review of methods and applications

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Mapping the research landscape of corn cob pyrolysis. Abstractas The agricultural sector is experiencing a surge in waste generation due to population growth, creating an urgent need to convert byproducts into value‐added products. Maize (Zea mays L.), a leading global crop, produces significant byproducts, such as corn cob, which are often undervalued.

Gravitational resonances in mimetic thick branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
In this work, we investigate gravitational resonances in both single and double mimetic thick branes, which can provide a new way to detect the extra dimension. For the single brane model, we apply the relative probability proposed in [Phys. Rev.
