D-Optimal Design for a Causal Structure for Completely Randomized and Random Blocked Experiments

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2022
Most experimental design literature on causal inference focuses on establishing a causal relationship between variables, but there is no literature on how to identify a design that results in the optimal parameter estimates for a structural equation ...

D-optimal and highly D-efficient designs with non-negatively correlated observations [PDF]

open access: yesKybernetika, 2016
In this paper we consider D-optimal and highly D-efficient chemical balance weighing designs. The errors are assumed to be equally non-negatively correlated and to have equal variances. Some necessary and sufficient conditions under which a design is D*-optimal design (regular D-optimal design) are proved. It is also shown that in many cases D*-optimal

Using appropriate prior information to eliminate choice sets with a dominant alternative from D-efficient designs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Choice Modelling, 2011
AbstractDiscrete choice experiments are frequently applied in transportation research to explore the value of travel time savings. Most profile attributes in these studies, such as the travel time or the travel cost of a mode or road choice, have a clear rank order in their attribute levels.

Two-dimensional semiconductors based field-effect transistors: review of major milestones and challenges

open access: yesFrontiers in Electronics, 2023
Two-dimensional (2-D) semiconductors are emerging as strong contenders for the future of Angstrom technology nodes. Their potential lies in enhanced device scaling and energy-efficient switching compared to traditional bulk semiconductors like Si, Ge ...

Highly D-Efficient Designs with Nonnegatively Correlated Observations

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2017
In the most difficult case where the number of observations n ≡ 3 (mod 4), high D-efficiency of certain chemical balance weighing designs under completely symmetric covariance matrix of errors is shown. It is also proved that D-optimal design may depend on the values of the correlation coefficient.

Designs for the simultaneous inference of concentration–response curves

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2023
Background An important problem in toxicology in the context of gene expression data is the simultaneous inference of a large number of concentration–response relationships.

An Effective Block Pin Assignment Approach for Block-Level Monolithic 3-D ICs

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Exploratory Solid-State Computational Devices and Circuits, 2021
In a 2-D design, the block pins are located at the periphery of a block optimally since blocks are placed side-by-side horizontally in a single placement layer.
