Processing “d-Linked” Phrases

Journal of Psycholinguistic Research, 2002
Linguists draw a distinction between two types of interrogatives: discourse linked (d-linked) phrases such as which man, which implies the existence of a set of contextually determined entities (men) from which the speaker is asking for a choice, and non-d-linked interrogatives such as who, which carry no such implication.

Vitamin D linked to PFAPA syndrome

International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, 2013
the etiology and pathogenesis of PFAPA is still unknown, the rapid response to corticosteroids treatment suggested an immune mechanism. Self-posture changeability (SPC) for 3-D link system

Proceedings 1992 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2003
The authors discuss the self-posture changeability (SPC) for a general 3-D link system. The series of motions brought about by SPC is called self-posture changing motions (SPCM). SPC and SPCM are considered assuming that the link system moves slowly enough to suppress any dynamic effects.

Non-D-linked Wh-NPs in Korean and Japanese

Language and Information, 2004
This paper discloses a striking similarity between Korean/Japanese wh-NPs and Italian QPs: both categories are disallowed from LD-movement out of weak islands. This leads us to a substantial claim that wh-phrases in the former languages possibly belong to a non-D-linked category, parallel to the Italian QPs.
