Direct determination of d-panthenol and salt of pantothenic acid in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations by differential pulse voltammetry

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2001
Abstract d -Panthenol (provitamin B5) and salt of pantothenic acid are used in many cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations for their skin emollient, regenerating and hair conditioning properties. The cathodic reduction of d -panthenol and salt of pantothenic acid had been studied by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at carbon paste electrode ...

Molecularly Imprinted Adsorbent and Its Magnetic Version for Solid Phase Extraction of D‐Panthenol: Comparison of Synthesis Approaches, Properties, and Applicability for Different Real Samples Extraction

Journal of Separation Science
ABSTRACT This study demonstrates the development of HPLC‐DAD method for determination of D‐panthenol incorporating the molecularly imprinted solid‐phase extraction for sample preparation. Two types of adsorbents, molecularly imprinted polymers synthesized by bulk polymerization (MIPs) and precipitation ...

Determination of α‐bisabolol and d‐panthenol in cosmetic products by gas chromatography

International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 1991
Synopsisα‐bisaboloi and d‐panthenol are used in many cosmetic preparations, respectively, for their anti‐inflammatory and regenerating properties. Their quantitative determination was an important element of their evaluation in these emulsions. Their concentration has been determined by gas chromatographic techniques, using a flame ionization detector.

Enantiomeric separation of panthenol by Capillary Electrophoresis. Analysis of commercial formulations and toxicity evaluation on non-target organisms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chromatography A, 2021
The first CE methodology enabling the enantiomeric separation of panthenol was developed in this work. Electrokinetic chromatography with cyclodextrins (CD-EKC) was the CE mode employed for this purpose.

Preparation of Phosphatidyl-panthenol by phospholipase D-mediated transphosphatidylation and its anti-inflammatory activity on macrophage-like RAW264.7 cells [PDF]

open access: yesBiocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology, 2020
Panthenol is known to be pro-vitamin B5 and show several functions such as wound-healing, anti-oxidative, and anti-inflammatory activities. In this study, panthenol was phosphatidylated via phospholipase D (PLD)-mediated transphosphatidylation and its ...

Microencapsulation of D-Panthenol retaining protein cross-linded with terephthaloyl chloride

D-panthenol microcapsules, widely used for topical cosmetic applications, were prepared by interfacial cross-linking protein with terephthaloyl chloride (TC). Factors affecting microcapsule formation such as types of proteins, concentrations of proteins, concentrations of cross-linking agent and stirring rate were investigated.
