ABSTRACT The WHO/IUIS Allergen Nomenclature Sub‐Committee is an international body of experts that maintains the systematic nomenclature of allergenic proteins by assigning official names to newly identified allergens submitted by researchers. Here, we summarize the data on new allergens approved between 2021 and 2024.

We outline the diversity of pests, weeds and plant pathogens absent from New Zealand that threaten forage production, examine their potential import pathways, and outline the challenges of managing them should they arrive. The number and diversity of threats and pathways indicates ongoing incursions are inevitable.

Abstract Four new species of Sycorax Haliday, 1839 are described: Sycorax alumna sp. nov., Sycorax catarina sp. nov., Sycorax paranaensis sp. nov., and Sycorax striga sp. nov., with the females of Sycorax striga sp. nov. bearing characteristics that suggest haematophagous behaviour.
