Integrin targeted oncolytic adenoviruses Ad5‐D24‐RGD and Ad5‐RGD‐D24‐GMCSF for treatment of patients with advanced chemotherapy refractory solid tumors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, 2011
AbstractThe safety of oncolytic viruses for treatment of cancer has been shown in clinical trials while antitumor efficacy has often remained modest. As expression of the coxsackie‐adenovirus receptor may be variable in advanced tumors, we developed Ad5‐D24‐RGD, a p16/Rb pathway selective oncolytic adenovirus featuring RGD‐4C modification of the fiber.

D24-18 Endoscopic Repair of a Postoperative Esophaorespiratory Fistula

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine
Abstract An esophagorespiratory fistula (ERF) is a rare but potential complication of surgical interventions aimed at treating esophageal and bronchogenic carcinomas. Endoscopic surgical repair of these fistulas is rare and highly complex due to the overall mortality. We present a case of endoscopic closure of an ERF.

Chlorpyrifos-induced toxicity in Scenedesmus sp. t24 and Synechococcus sp. d24

Ecotoxicology
The widespread use of chlorpyrifos, an organophosphate insecticide, raises concerns regarding its impact on non-target aquatic organisms. This study evaluated the toxicological responses of Synechococcus sp. D24 and Scenedesmus sp. T24 exposed to chlorpyrifos at 0.01-10 mg/L.

D24-05 Robotic Bronchoscopy in the ICU for Diagnosis of Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine
Abstract Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis with associated coma is an uncommon complication of pulmonary adenocarcinoma. In this case, we discuss a rare presentation of newly diagnosed pulmonary adenocarcinoma with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis diagnosed by robotic bronchoscopy at bedside in the ICU.

D24-02 Cryoadhesion: A Cool Solution for Traumatic Tooth Aspiration

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine
Abstract Introduction Tooth aspiration is a rare but recognized complication of endotracheal intubation. Bronchoscopy is a commonly used modality for retrieval of aspirated foreign bodies. However, the removal of an aspirated tooth presents a unique challenge due to its round shape, smooth ...
