Equivalent homogeneous model of D31-mode longitudinal piezoelectric transducers
This article focuses on modelling of D31-mode longitudinal piezoelectric transducers. A simple equivalent one-dimensional homogeneous model of D31-mode longitudinal piezoelectric transducers is proposed in this article. Homogeneous properties of the model are derived by a simple analytical mixing method based on the operation principle of D31-mode ...

Values are reported for the piezoelectric coefficients d31 and d3h, of highly oriented one-way drawn polyvinylidene fluoride. Samples were compared with high Form I content following two preparation procedures, one giving material of low Young's modulus by drawing to a conventional draw ratio and the other of high Young's modulus by drawing to a very ...

The wafer flexure technique was used to characterize the d31 coefficient of a number of sol–gel and radio frequency (rf) sputtered lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thin films with thicknesses between 0.6 and 3 μm. Typical d31 values for well-poled 52/48 sol–gel films were found to be between −50 and −60 pC/N.

Simulating the Effects of Porosity on the D31 Piezoelectric Coefficient of Polyvinylidene Fluoride
ASME 2022 Conference on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems, 2022Abstract A piezoelectric, thin film polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) material was developed for application as a blood pressure/flow sensor within an artificial heart. In an effort to increase the piezoelectric coefficient, d31, and maximize the sensitivity of the PVDF material, nanoscale pores were introduced into the thin films.

A novel aureothin diepoxide derivative from Streptomyces sp. NIIST-D31 strain
The Journal of Antibiotics, 2022A novel vicinal diepoxide of alloaureothin was isolated from Streptomyces sp. NIIST-D31 strain along with three carboxamides, p-aminobenzoic acid and 1,6-dimethoxyphenazine. Exhaustive 2D NMR analysis and analysis of experimental, theoretical CD spectra aided in establishing the structure of compound 1. Compound 1 inhibits adipogenesis and accumulation
