D33 mode based piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers
2017 IEEE 15th Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD), 2017Piezoelectric Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducer (PMUT) is an acoustic transducer used in application of medical diagnostic, medical imaging and underwater imaging. The design concept of conventional PMUT is based on sandwich piezoelectric between two electrodes. This is based on d31 mode polarization PMUT and the sensitivity is depend on thickness of

Size-dependent piezoelectric coefficient d33 of PbTiO3 nanoparticles
Materials Letters, 2008Abstract Size-dependent piezoelectric coefficient d33(D) (D shows particle diameter) for small ferroelectrics is modeled in this paper. It is found that taking account of size effect is essential in understanding piezoelectric characteristics of nanoferroelectrics.

What is really measured on a d33-meter?
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2001Abstract Mechanical boundary conditions of PZT sample are not well defined in the measurement process on a d33-meter due to the misfit in size or shape of the jaws and of the sample. Result of such d33 measurement is usually an effective value d 33 eff . Mechanical stress/strain conditions are simulated for PZT discs/cylinders in a

DC-biased ferroelectrets with large piezoelectric d33-coefficients
Journal of Applied Physics, 2008The application of external dc voltages significantly increases the piezoelectric d33-coefficients of ferroelectret films and also enhances their thermal stability. In this paper, interferometric measurements and model calculations with such dc-biased ferroelectret films are reported.
