Abstract Depletion‐induced fault slip and seismicity in the Groningen natural gas field are known to be caused by compaction of reservoir rock, most likely at locations in faults where reservoir rock juxtaposes non‐reservoir rock leading to severely‐peaked shear stresses at the reservoir‐fault corners.

ABSTRACT 5α‐Cyprinol sulfate (CPS), a kairomone released by cyprinid fishes, induces diel vertical migration (DVM) in Daphnia and thus shapes ecosystem dynamics wherever both taxa co‐occur. Here, we provide the first in situ quantification of CPS turnover, revealing strong temporal variability in this chemical signal and its ecosystem‐wide consequences

Meson Form-factors and Wave-functions with Wilson fermions
Results for semi-leptonic form-factors for processes like $D \to K l \nu$ and the Bethe-Salpeter amplitudes (BSA) for pion and rho mesons are presented. The form-factor data is consistent with previous calculations.

Bottom Quark Cross Sections at Collider and Fixed-Target Energies at the SSC and LHC
Calculations of inclusive cross sections for the production of bottom quarks in proton-proton collisions are presented as a function of energy, transverse momentum, and Feynman $x_F$ for values of $\sqrt{s}$ from $100~$GeV to $40~$TeV.

The Value Relevance of a Firm's Carbon Risk Profile
The aim of this paper is to provide insights into the capital market's role in incentivizing firms to engage meaningfully in the transition to a net zero carbon emissions economy. We investigate whether capital markets negatively value a broader concept of carbon risk exposure in addition to its historic carbon footprint and offset assessed penalties ...

Quantum Corrections for a Cosmological String Solution [PDF]
We investigate quantum corrections for a cosmological solution of the string effective action. Starting point is a classical solution containing an antisymmetric tensor field, a dilaton and a modulus field which has singularities in the scalar fields. As

Income distribution in a monetary economy
In a monetary economy capital is a fund. This idea is captured by the circuit of capital. We define a circuit for fixed capital and argue that it is closed when the fund that initiates it is recovered in a present value sense.

On-Machine Precision Form Truing and In-Situ Measurement of Resin-Bonded Spherical Diamond Wheel
The resin-bonded spherical diamond wheel is widely used in arc envelope grinding, where the demands for form accuracy are high and the form truing process is challenging.

Experimental Constraints on the Scale of New Physics in Top Condensate Models
We obtain mass limits on the extra neutral gauge boson which is predicted in a model with hidden gauge symmetry and dynamical breaking of the electroweak symmetry by a top quark condensate.
