[D74] Haptic turk: A motion platform based on people

open access: closed2014 IEEE Haptics Symposium (HAPTICS), 2014
Motion platforms are used to increase the realism of virtual interaction. Unfortunately, their size and weight is proportional to what they actuate. We present haptic turk, a different approach to motion platforms that is light and mobile. The key idea is to replace motors and mechanical components with humans.

Infra-red bandshapes of methylene-d2 bending vibrations in n-hexatriacontane-n-hexatriacontane-d74

open access: closedPolymer, 1985
Abstract Infra-red spectra in the CD 2 bending vibration region (1080–1100 cm −1 ) have been analysed for mixtures of deuterated and hydrogenated hexatriacontane. The i.r. data analyses are based on lattice dynamical calculations of guest deuterated molecules in the host n-C 36 H 74 and infrared intensities calculated using the electro-optical ...

Rat brain tumor models in experimental neuro-oncology:The 9L, C6, T9, F98, RG2 (D74), RT-2 and CNS-1 Gliomas

open access: closedJournal of Neuro-Oncology, 1998
Rat brain tumor models have been widely used in experimental neuro-oncology for almost three decades. The present review, which will be selective rather than comprehensive, will focus entirely on seven rat brain tumor models and their utility in evaluating the efficacy of various therapeutic modalities.
