Molecular and functional in vivo characterisation of murine Dectin‐1 isoforms

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 54, Issue 11, November 2024.
Dectin‐1 is a C‐type lectin receptor for the innate sensing of fungi. This receptor exists in two major isoforms in mice differing in a stalk domain, which determines their degradative pathway. Here, we characterise the properties of the two isoforms in a cellular context and using a newly established in vivo model. Abstract Dectin‐1 is a C‐type lectin‐

Upadacitinib as salvage therapy in adolescents with acute severe ulcerative colitis refractory to conventional treatments

open access: yesJPGN Reports, Volume 5, Issue 4, Page 447-453, November 2024.
Abstract Objectives Upadacitinib (UPA), a selective Janus kinase‐1 inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in inducing and maintaining remission in moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults. Current standard management for acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) involves intravenous corticosteroids (IVCS) followed by infliximab (IFX) salvage ...

Structural insights into the role of deleterious mutations at the dimeric interface of Toll‐like receptor interferon‐β related adaptor protein

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 92, Issue 10, Page 1242-1258, October 2024.
Abstract Toll‐like receptors (TLRs) are major players in the innate immune system—recognizing pathogens and differentiating self/non‐self components of immunity. These proteins are present either on the plasma membrane or endosome and recognize pathogens at their extracellular domains.
