Laboratory Workplace For Performance Measurement Of The Dab/Dab+ System

In this paper, a simple laboratory measurement workplace, proposed for educational purposes, to measure the performance of the DAB/DAB+ signal is presented. The RTL2832U software defined radio (SDR) is used as a receiver of the DAB signal in the measurement setup.

Deutlich vor DVB, zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre wurde DAB – Digital Audio Broadcasting entwickelt und standardisiert. Trotzdem war DAB in vielen Landern lange relativ unbekannt. DAB-Netze wurden in Deutschland regional unterschiedlich bereits ab den 1990er Jahren in Betrieb genommen; ab 2011 wurden die Netze weiter ausgebaut und auf DAB+ umgestellt.
